The Blog

First blog!

Welcome to my first blog and the launch of my website.  I hope you like it.

I should have done all this five years ago when King of Ithaca was published, but never got around to it.  I can only apologise to those people who’ve searched the internet in frustration looking for details of the next book or some small morsel of information about whether or not I intend to continue the Odysseus series.  The good news is I do and the fourth book in the series – The Oracles of Troy – has been written and is currently being edited, with a hoped-for launch date of October this year.  Initially it will appear as an e-book with a print version early next year.  The story picks up where The Armour of Achilles left off, with Odysseus and Eperitus sailing to the island of Lemnos in search of Philoctetes.  More missions follow, in which they pursue a series of oracles that must be fulfilled if Troy is to fall.  Ultimately Odysseus’s hits on the idea of the Trojan Horse and the rest is history – or mythology!

The website includes details about the current books, a bit about me, a page of questions and answers and – for those who are interested in the mechanics of the publishing process – a section on my experiences as an author.  Please feel free to get in touch via the Contacts page if you have any questions.  I’ll try to answer as quickly as I can.

I’d like to add my thanks to Matthew at FireBubble for designing and building the site.  His patience with my Bronze Age technology skills has been endless.

Very much looking forward to the paper launch of the new book, shame it won’t be out in time for my upcoming holiday. Hopefully the whole Odyssey is to follow!

    Hi Greg.
Yes, my version of The Odyssey will follow. I’m planning to write it over two books and will start on the first as soon as The Oracles of Troy is published. Should be the most exciting books of the whole series.
    Have a nice holiday.
    Glyn
